FAQ

(Frequently Asked Questions)

I would love to have a Princess at my child's party! What do I do next?

Get ready for the magic!!! Before heading to our BOOK NOW! tab, please visit our PACKAGES tab and review our packages to choose one that would suit your needs. Then, head over to our BOOK NOW! tab on here on our website and fill out the form. Brittany (our owner) will then answer your inquiry within 24-48 hours and take you step by step to confirm your booking. Customer Service is important to us. If you would like to speak to someone directly, please call Brittany at 520 369 7468.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We advise booking your party no less than TWO WEEKS in advance and we will book as far as TWO MONTHS in advance. This is to ensure you reserve the date and time you are planning on and that a member of our cast is available for your celebration. Bookings made ONE WEEK out from your requested date will be charged a $25 late fee.

Parties must be paid in FULL and contract signed upon booking to reserve date and time. Payment can be done through PayPal or Venmo and instructions are given in your contract at time of booking. These systems are utilized to protect your sensitive information (credit card information, etc). Along with your contract, an invoice is sent. Please retain these documents for your records once signed.

What days do you do parties? What are your hours?

Our Royal Cast is available for parties on the weekends and some weekday events when booked in advance. Please understand that some actors prefer not to work on Sundays and might not be available. We will do all we can to make sure someone is available for you. Please inquire in your booking form about a special day and time and be sure that it is within two weeks before the date if not earlier. We are available by email and phone for questions/bookings Monday – Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. Please be aware that our cast and owner work real world jobs and cannot get away to answer inquiries immediately. Magic always comes at a price!

Is it customary to tip the character I've hired?

This is completely at your discretion. Did you enjoy the performance? Were the children engaged? Do you think time was filled with activities and transitions were smooth? If the answer is yes, you may choose to tip your performer(s). Please note, a character’s performance begins long before they step through your front door. They spend hours rehearsing songs, perfecting makeup application, memorizing story details and other points of preparations. To show your gratitude, a tip is appreciated but NEVER expected. If you decide to tip, please do so at the end of the party and hand it to the assistant. This keeps it discreet and keeps the magic alive for all the guests.

What do I do if I am looking for a character that isn't shown on your site?

Please contact us with your request! We are constantly adding new characters to our lineup. We want to cater to the demands of our families and who is popular. Feel free to email us at mttsentertainment@gmail.com with your suggestions!

*We do not offer most superheroes or mascot characters at this time*

I notice you have different actors that play the same character. Can I request a specific actor?

All our actors are trained to provide a superior performance. The actor that comes to your party will never fail to impress you. We book whoever is available and reserve the right to change who comes if an emergency arises. Our Owner/Founder, Brittany Butler, will let you know if the initial actor is unable to come and someone else will be stepping in.  Please refer to our "Meet the Cast" section on our main page to see who is part of our Royal Cast. Each photo has a link to the actor’s bio located on our official Facebook page.

Our photos displayed are for you to be able to see the theatrical quality of our costuming. The actors photographed are models for this purpose.

Can your characters be hired for other events than a child's birthday party?

Absolutely! Having a fundraiser? Let our performers help kick off your event! Perhaps you’d like to have a few characters for a baby shower, wedding or retirement party? No matter the occasion, we want to CELEBRATE YOU – the young and young at heart. We would love to be part of any event you can dream up! All special events outside of a birthday setting will be given special pricing. Please contact us for more details! We also do SINGING TELEGRAMS year-round!

Do you do parties outside?

From the months of May - October, our characters do not perform outside due to the heat of the Tucson desert. We ask that your party be indoors for the comfort of our actors and all guests attending. We reserve the right to ask that your party be moved indoors to ensure the safety of our actors.

Why do your Princesses not face paint? Do you offer face painting?

We are protective of our Royal Wardrobe. Each of our character's ensembles can cost upwards of $350 + from head to toe. We want to keep them in as pristine condition as possible, as well as the outfits of the guests attending the party.

*WE WILL BE OFFERING FACE PAINTING SOON! BE SURE TO CHECK BACK!!!*

Are your characters from Disneyland / Disney World?

Our characters are inspired by the authors who penned their fairy tales. It is not the intention of More to the Story Entertainment to violate any copyright laws. Our characters are inspired by the many popular renditions of favorite fairy tale characters and any resemblance to any rendition is incidental. We are not affiliated with any theme park whatsoever.

What do I need to provide at the party?

Please make sure there are at least TWO chairs available (more if there are multiple characters present), and a big space cleared for all guests to freely move. Photos will be taken during the time you have requested so if you have a place you would like that to happen, please have it set and ready before arrival.

***Please also provide any info regarding any surprise presentation of a special gift, balloon drop, fake snow surprise, etc., to happen before the end of the time our performers exit. ***

What age counts toward the 15-guest max? Why do you cap it at 15?

Children ages 3 - 12 years old count toward the maximum. Any child 2 and under will not be charged. Our characters are always accompanied by an assistant that will run sound, capture video and help with crafts. Many of us are teachers or work closely with children in real life and we believe that kids need more one-on-one attention. If your guest list is over 15, each additional child is $5 each and if you go over 25, we will ask that you add an extra character for $75. Thank you for your attention and if something is not clear, do not hesitate to ask!

SAFETY / WIGS & COSTUMES

(These are items of note that we feel need to be addressed based on experience. After reading, if you have any questions or concerns, please email of give us a call. We thank you for your attention in preserving the magic!)

Safety and Liability:

Every contract outlines our safety, liability and expectations (both client and performer). Please understand that our performers are under contract to respect your home and all your guests. If they feel unsafe or are being treated in a way that goes against the contract you sign, they will cut the party short and gracefully leave. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. It is the responsibility of the party performer to entertain, not resolve any behavioral issues. Clients are to be present throughout the time of performance agreed to in the contract. Please remember, our performers are there to create magical memories, not babysit. As the client, you are encouraged to participate in all activities with your child.

Costumes/Wigs/Accessories/Games:

Please note that the costumes our characters perform in are custom made. This is because we strive to create a very authentic experience for our clients. It is the policy of MTTSE that if ANY costume, wig, accessory, or item of ours is damaged at a party at fault of someone other than our performer, it will be the responsibility of that individual and/or parent to pay for the value of that item. We ask that no party poppers, silly string, water guns, liquids of any kind, etc., be used around our performers as they will affect the quality and longevity of our wigs and costumes. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding of this policy.
